Is Undertow an amp simulator?
Its core is a bass tone engine: frequency splitting, compression, distortion, EQ and harmonics. An optional IR loader adds cabinet character when you want it.
Which DAWs and computers will it support?
The Mac build includes Audio Unit for Logic Pro and VST3 for compatible hosts, with Apple silicon and Intel code in one plugin. Windows VST3 is in development. Specific host and live-rig compatibility will be listed when release testing is complete.
Can a kick drum trigger the dynamic EQ?
Yes. Route the kick to Undertow’s host sidechain and choose an external detector on the EQ band you want to duck. Each band chooses its detector, using the sidechain provided by your host.

The instruction manual covers each section. The same manual is bundled inside the plugin’s Help menu and can be read offline.
